Real Estate Law

The Urban Law Firm's Real Estate practice encompasses transactions and litigation, including complex litigation and construction matters.

Clients turn to us for assistance in maximizing the value of real estate holdings, minimizing taxes and contributing significantly to their community.

The Urban Law Firm negotiates and documents commercial purchase and sale agreements and related due diligence requirements. Along with providing services related to leasing, sale and leaseback agreements, and unlawful detainers, we represent clients across a range of land use concerns, including zoning and entitlement matters, conditional use permits, variances and lot line adjustments.

Clients include commercial, industrial and residential developers; mobile home parks; property managers and owners; private businesses and individuals; non-profits; and multi-employer trust funds.

Our firm's extensive real estate expertise includes:

  • Multi-employer pension funds — Advising boards of trustees of several of the country's largest Taft-Hartley funds on issues such as lending, investing, developing, land use and leasing. Often, these same clients turn to our firm for operational support, such as negotiating leases or issuing unlawful detainers.
  • Landlord-tenant law — Advising landlords and tenants on commercial and residential leasing matters, including drafting lease agreements.
